What is BookTribe?

BookTribe is company offering book subscription boxes for middle grade readers aged 8-12 years.    Our boxes comes with one new release book and 2-3 items and activities themed with the book.  

What kind of books can I expect in my box?

We consider every book personally, and choose newly released books recommended for readers aged 8-12 years.  

Besides books, what can I expect in my box?

Our goal is to inspire kids to read by making it fun.  This is why we not only have books in our boxes, but also includes some fun and exciting items that enhance the book and encourage literacy, creativity and imagination.

How much does a BookTribe Box cost?

Our boxes cost $39.95  (plus shipping).

For monthly subscriptions, you can select one of three different plans:

  • Month-to-month plans are $39.95 (plus shipping) and you are billed each month.
  • 3-Month plans are discounted to $37.98 per month (plus shipping) and you prepay for the three months.
  • 6-Month plans are discounted to $36.83 per month (plus shipping) and you prepay for the six months.

How do I join BookTribe?

Hooray! We can’t wait to get a box in the mail to you! You can subscribe by going here. Please note that all subscription plans renew on the 1st of every month, and you may cancel at any time.

Are there boxes for other age groups?

Not yet.  But we are looking into creating boxes for younger and older kids at the moment.

When will my box ship?

All subscription boxes ship between the 10th & 15th of each month. 

When will my box arrive? What if my box doesn't arrive?

BookTribe cannot guarantee delivery time of boxes. Australian orders are shipped via Australia Post. Most Australian orders will arrive within 5-10 business days, however this is not a guaranteed shipping time frame. 

BookTribe is not responsible for shipping delays due to weather, couriers, or theft, however our we do care about you receiving your box so please contact us if you have any concerns at support@booktribe.com.au

How do I track my box?

Once your label has been printed, you will receive an email with your tracking number. We are currently using Australia Post for shipping.

How much is shipping?

Shipping within Australia is a flat rate per box is AUD $9.99 (tracking included)

    Does BookTribe ship internationally?

    We are currently not shipping internationally.  However if you would like to purchase a box please contact us at support@booktribe.com.au and we will consider your request.

    I want to sign up to BookTribe, but I see that you are currently sold out. What should I do?

    If you missed out on a current month’s box, your order will go the next month and we will reserve a box for you. 

    When will I be billed?

    When you subscribe, you will be billed immediately for your first month’s subscription. After that, you will be billed on the 1st of the month for your next subscription cycle.

    How do renewals work?

    When you sign up to BookTribe you will be charged immediately for the subscription model you have chosen (1, 3, or 6 months). Once your subscription cycle has ended, you will be automatically re-billed for the same cycle model until you decide to switch to a different plan or cancel your subscription.

    • Month-to-month plans: You will be charged for one month.
    • 3-Month plans: After you have received three BookTribe boxes, you will be automatically renewed for another three months.
    • 6-Month plans: After you have received six BookTribe boxes, you will be automatically renewed for another six months.

    *Renewals always take place on the first of every month.

    How do I cancel my subscription?

    In order to cancel a subscription, you will first need to first log in to your account. Under account details on the right hand side, click on the Manage Subscriptions link, then go to subscriptions on the left hand side and then cancel your subscription. You would use this if you would like to no longer receive this subscription product.

    When do I need to cancel to ensure I am not billed again for the next month?

    You need to cancel your subscription by the last day of the current month. Otherwise, you will be billed again on the 1st of the month and will receive that month’s box.

    I would love to give a BookTribe box as a gift.  How can I do this?

    You can currently only give a monthly box as a gift.  You can choose this option before you checkout.  This will not automatically renew.

    I already own the book. Can I return it?

    We try our best to avoid this by only selecting books that have been released at most 1 month before the box is sent out. Unfortunately we cannot promise that you haven’t already purchased the book.  We do recommend holding off buying new release books until after you receive your monthly BookTribe box to avoid this occurring.  

    At this time, if it happens that you already own the book, we will not be able to refund your purchase.

    What is your Refund/Return Policy?

    If your account has renewed (your card has been charged) and you do not wish to receive the box(es) that you've paid for, please contact support@booktribe.com.au as soon as possible to let us know. We are happy to give refunds for unshipped boxes, but once a box has shipped we can not give refunds.

    We do not offer refunds if you receive a book/item that you aren't interested in or already own. We hope you have a friend whom you can gift the item to! 

    We can not accept returns, regardless of whether the box has been opened or not. 

    If you receive a damaged item, please contact us at support@booktribe.com.au so we can supply a replacement or other item of the same value.

    I'm a business selling items that would be a good fit in your box! How do I get my items into a box?
